What are some of your favorite books/series which are mainstream/genre, but clearly appeal to alternative lifesyle of some sort? I'm not talking about porn. I mean, Rices the beauty series is fun, but it's not exactly plot driven. Laurrell K. Hamilton is my all time favorite author, and I have recently discovered the Kushel series, (read only Kusheil's Dart, so far), which is also really, really good. Any other suggestions?

Lora leigh has some interesting stuff. but it is pretty racy. I love the Kushel Series. Love laurell K hamilton. There is always Heinlein. he is well Known in the Poly Community. His stuff is more Sci fi Ish. there are a munber of new Vamp/shifter books that have the same feel as Hamiltons stuff.
