Really enjoyed the story but gave it a 3-star rating because it wasn't strictly Biblical and historical. While I know that a fiction book based on the Bible has to add details and speculation based on what is known of the culture, I found it offensive that Solomon supposedly married the Queen of Sheba (in a round-about way) just to father a child for her (who supposedly grew to be a major leader in that region). To me that goes too far. If it wasn't for that, I would have given the book 5 stars and kept it on my shelf or donated it to our church library. One of the things I like is how the story contrasts the peace and freedom found in following the true God and fear and disillusionment in following pagan Gods.
