If you have read some of the MANY Wilbur Smith historical novels, you would probably like this one as I did. I've read a few from a different series, but when this one was given to me, I read it and liked it. Different venue(Egypt and south), different time period, but overall a pretty good read.
Disappointing installment to Smith's Ancient Egypt series as Taita leads a continent-long trek to find and destroy a source of ultimate evil.
Overlong and a bit silly. Smith should never allow the action to slow down enough for the reader to notice his shallow characterizations and stilted dialogue, of which this entry has plenty.
