if one has a book club edition with ISBN, and it apparently has the same ISBN as the normal book but the BC edition is HB and the normal book is PB, one should list the book without ISBN? to avoid having RWAP for wrong binding right?

BC edition or not, if the binding is different, you must list as a non-ISBN item to avoid getting RWAP for a wrong binding.

It could be an ARC, rather than a BCE, just a thought.

i sent info on both in my PM...i'm leaning towards the BCE b/c she has the first two books in that series in BCE edition on her shelf though.

ETA: also i know the BCE edition is already out from that particular book club

But if the BCE has the same ISBN, and the regular book is HC and the BCE is HC, you don't have to do anything special, right? I have that situation.  I don't need to PM the requestor or anything when I post it, do I?

If the title, author, ISBN and binding (both HC) match, you do not need to do anything Christa.  There is no need to notify anyone that it is a Book Club Edition as long as those things match.

crap! the person who listed the book did get a hold of me and did confirm that that the book was a book club edition. and then she said she was new and wasn't sure what to do but she would listen to whatever i told her. so i told her, that i would accept the book, and then she needed to cancel it (this is what TPTB has told me to do in past occasions) and then she would need to list the book without the ISBN per help center rules.

well for whatever reason she's accepted and printed the original request!! is it still possible to cancel on her end?

She can cancel all the way until she clicks "book has been mailed". Once she's clicked that, then the only way to cancel is to send a feedback message.
