What does it means when you see something like this in a book title: "12-copy solid floor display"? If you order that book will you get 12 copies of it? It's for ISBN 0451419014. |

Yes, in the description it mentions it's a cardboard floor display which includes 12 hardcover copies to put on display in bookstores, so seeing people wishing for it on here is quite surprising!
Either that or there was just a mistake since that's the ISBN of the book. Last Edited on: 8/6/13 10:35 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Yes, those numbers represent a store display and 'set' of books. Unlikely to see an intact set posted here at PBS, but the numbers appear in our system sometimes. |

Interesting. I didn't know that. I thought maybe it was a mistake. Thanks for the info! |

This is not something that is really even postable on PBS so there is no reason for people to be wishing for or ordering items like them. They are not "books", they are floor displays. But they are items that come into the database from the database sources so they are there to be seen. |

One of the databases must be listing them. PBS takes data from a number of places. These are a promo deal offered to bookstores. |

I posted a book one time whose ISBN showed up as one of those 12 book floor displays so some companies must use the same ISBN for the single books too. |
