Could someone tell me why when you sort your "view your public bookshelf" by author; the next you go back to it, it is no longer sorted by author but has reverted to "title". Also is there a way to delete a book from "view your public bookshelf?" I find it easier to locate books that I have sent to a member in multiple book deals on the "view my public bookshelf" than the regular bookshelf. But now I have to switch back and forth to delete a book I've found which I no longer have. Any better solutions that you may have to suggest? Thank you, Jack JACK C. (jconn92534) |

From what I can tell if you go to "view my public bookshelf" then they are treating you as if you are looking at another member's bookshelf - so when you re-sort it does not save it. If you go to your bookshelf (not in view public mode) then you can re-sort from that page and those changes will be saved for you. You can not delete a book when looking at "view my public bookshelf" either because again they are treating it as if you are viewing another member's Bookshelf. You can delete books from your bookshelf when you are looking at it in its regular mode. |

The View Public Bookshelf shows you what others see when they look at yourshelf. They don't see the books you have on hold and such. It's displayed completely different. You would not want the option to delete books on the Public Bookshelf screen. Then people could delete other peoples books to make the FIFO line move faster or simply because they didn't like a post in the forums or something stupid. It's automatically displayed alphabetically by title because some books don't have an actual "author" and they don't come up if you sort it by author. |
