OK, I read the first Lily Bard book Shakespeare's Landlord.  Then I went on to the second book Shakespeare's Champion, but there seems to be something missing in the middle?  She refered to an infamous fight that I didn't read about in book one, and she suddenly seems much more familiar and touchy feeling with Claude the police man that she was at the end of book one.  Was there a short story I missed that took place between the two books, or am I somehow out of order?  I checked on her website and I'm pretty sure I have book two.  What have I missed?

Edited for spelling

Hmm.  I have read all 5 of them and I don't recall feeling like book 2 came out of order.  But I don't think you are missing anything.  I don't remember the issue about the fight - but it's been a while since I read anything since Shakespeare's Christmas so my memory is a little rusty.

I think all the short stories are after the series. They show up in several of the Sookie series stories. Searching for a couple of missing persons.

You read it in the correct order.  From StopYou'reKillingMe.com

Shakespeare’s Landlord (1996)

Shakespeare’s Champion (1997)

Shakespeare’s Christmas (1998)

Shakespeare’s Trollop (2000)

Shakespeare’s Counselor (2001)
