On the "Money Saving Tips" forum, there is a post with the title "Edited by PBS" and the body says that advertising on PBS violates the terms of service. I appreciate that PBS doesn't want spamming telling me that I can find love on dateamillionare dot com or lose weight fast on scam-fast, but I know I've left posts telling people about a website I found a great free sample on, or a new product (usually food) that I like, and if I quote info on it, I provide the link for it's website. I don't feel that I've left any "advertising" on here (I'm certainly not getting paid for it!) but I have "promoted" products or sites that I found helpful or funny, etc. So, my question is, what is acceptable in terms of mentioning products, etc. and what crosses the line? I'll be back to check soon, but right now I'm running off to __________ to buy ________ which is a really great deal and you wish you knew the bargain I'm about to get! Thanks all!

My suggestion is that you use the "contact us" link and ask them! |

The rules say no links to commercial websites. Sounds like that's what they had a problem with. |

I think if you put a link up to say a free sample or somethign that you get no benefit out of then that's ok. But if you come on here advertising other sites that you earn points or money from then that's no ok. Like you can come on and say hey "I just found this link to print a coupon for a free bottle of Pantene". But you can't say "hey come check out my MaryKay page and buy products from me".
