Don't know what to do here- never had this happen before. I ordered 2 books from the same member. When the package arrived, one book is there and the other is not. The package clearly appears to have had two books in it, but the wrapping is shredded (literally!). The wrapping used is tissue paper thin almost but would have still held up with tape around the sides and end. What do I mark this as- sender or post office? There is a note on the remaining paper that says "received in bad condition at: _____(zip code)." Thanksfor any help you can offer! |

Well you DO NOT mark the book that's missing as received. Not even as RWP. You didn't get it so there's nothing to mark. You'll get your credit back when it goes lost. Not sure what to tell you on the other one. Technically it's damaged by post office. But with bad wrapping, it says you are allowed to ask for a credit back. To me that's bad wrapping. The one time I asked for a credit back on a book damaged due to bad wrapping-I got a tirade from the sender about how the book was wrapper perfenctly fine. (to me using the PBS wrapper and scotch tape on a tradesized book is not good wrapping). |

Actually with the new system you DO go in and mark the missing book as received with a Problem. With the bulk shipment there will be an option in the menu of problems for: Book Missing from Shipment (this option applies only to multiple-book shipments)
Selecting that will not log the book as received and will not give the sender credit, it will just remove the book from the multi-book listing so that the other books can be logged as received. This book should remain in your Enroute window until the lost date I believe. If it happens to show up later you can log it in then.
With the other book, if it is still Last Edited on: 8/19/11 4:37 PM ET - Total times edited: 3 |

Thanks! I was worried about messing up and causing an even bigger problem. Got it all taken care of now. |
