Ok, I've been a member for just a few days but I am confused about 1 thing. Sometimes when checking out the newly posted books I see books that are on several people's wishlists, but they are available for me to order right away, even though they are not on my wishlist. Can anyone tell me why? Just curious, I've not found any info on this. |

It's possible the listed copies didn't meet the Wish Listers' requestor conditions. |

I've seen that before as well. Most of the times if you click on the book, you'll find it is not available. There must be some time when they input on the system before they are pulled off for hold on people's wishlists. It is also possible they have another binding wishlisted, ie: hardback instead of paperback.

The indicated number wishlisted is for that exact ISBN. If no one matches, those wishing for other editions should (in theory) all be notified by e mail that "a book similar to yours has been posted ...." |

Thanks! That makes a lot more sense. |
