I have a ton of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction issues. They are issues that are about 50 pages long and full of short stories. They are not technically books, so am I right in assuming I can't post them? Personally, I'd love to be able to trade for old issues of these, but I'm assuming that they can't be posted.

My other question is, I understand that individual comic books can't be posted, but graphic novels can? What actually defines whether something is a graphic novel or a comic book? Do bound collections of different comic books put together (like the Sandman separate mega-issues) count as postable? I have a bunch of those on my wish list, and if they aren't postable I'm just wasting my time. Also, I have some graphic novels from Marvel and DC that I am wondering if they are postable. They are bound in book form collections of four or five comic books together as one book. Can anyone help me here?

Nope, no magazines. They contain advertising and can't be sent via media mail.

Graphic novels are usually bound soft or hard cover books that either contain several issues of a comic, or never came in individual comic form. Sandman is postable in the graphic novel form. I don't think you'd be wasting your time on those unless you have the anniversary editions on there (I actually have a few of these on my wish list just to see if any one ever bothers posting a giant book that costs $100 new). Hopefully with the movie coming out these will become more popular and get posted more often in the near future.

Edit to say: The anniversary editions are called The Absolute Sandman, FYI

These are the ones you want to avoid because I highly doubt anyone will ever post them. (Big book in picture, not smaller one, I just liked the size comparison). They truly are wonderful versions though.
