I want to get a book that I need for an online class that I am in.  I saw the book that I need posted on here but how do I know who has the book to ask them a question about it before ordering it?  I wanted to know if their book included the CD ROM.

You cannot ask this. You can put requestor conditions on your account that say something like:

"I am requesting the book 'xxx'. This book comes with a CD. If your copy does not have the CD, then please decline this request."

Make sure to turn the conditions on before submitting your request. Then turn them off afterwards.

It's pretty risky to request a book you need for a class though. You could easily be waiting 3 or more weeks for this book depending on how many members decline before you get to one who has the book.

Or you could request the book then you would be able to PM the person to ask questions.  Of course you are out of luck if the person isn't online to answer the question....

If you do find a person that does have the book with CD.. you can offer them an extra credit to send it first class to save delivery time unless the book is too heavy to make that viable.

Lita, while I understand your rationale, that would be offering 2 credits for 1 book, which is against the rules.
