I just got a request for a book with specific requestor conditions. My book appears to meet these conditions, but I sort of want to PM the member just to clarify. Is there a way to PM the member without confirming/denying the request? i didnt see anywhere where it gave me the member ID without either accepting or denying. Maybe I am just missing it.....any advice appreciated!!

If they didn't give you their member ID in the RC, then the only way to PM them is to accept their conditions and then send the PM.  There is no way to do so otherwise.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Good luck!

You can always accept and then PM to ask and confirm.

If they don't want it, you can ask them to cancel the order.  If they re-order it will probably come back to you again, but then you would no to decline and it will go to the next person and you don't lose your place in FIFO order.

If its a Wishlist Book and they don't want your copy, you can cancel the order.  That way they don't lose their place in line.  The next time they order, it will probably still come to you but then you will know to decline the RCs

I'm not sure about this, but my first thought is to go into your Transaction Archive (under My Account) and see if it's listed there. It may not be because it's not technically a transaction yet, but it's worth a shot. If not then I agree with Lita. I'd accept the request and PM the requestor and also let them know that if you don't hear back from them by the time it's time to mail that you'll go ahead and mail it, that way if they don't respond (as some requestors don't) you've "covered your butt" so to speak. Hopefully though, you can either find out who it is via the transaction archive or they'll PM you back. Good luck!

Personally I don't PM it just a headache of who cancels and what if they don't respond to your PM. If you do PM-accept the request but take the absolute last day to mail.  In the PM give them a deadline: I will either cancel the request or mail the book out if I don't hear from you by x date.

The way I look at it: either my book meets your condition's or not.  If I have to question you then your RCS aren't clear enough and I'm not sending.  But feel free to PM just keep in mind that you might not get an immediate response and have to decide to cancel or send anyway.  If you cancel and it's a posted book-you will lose your place in the FIFO line and have to repost the book.
