New here..just wondering..is there a way to post or get books as a series?  I read about the box o books but I don't think it works that way..I know it probably seems stupid but it feels like the value is lost when the series is broken up..and sometimes I see books 3rd or 4th in a series and won't order til I find the 1st or 2nd..make any sense or am I just being anal? LOL

I usually order books from a series as I see them. I have been collecting the Sue Grafton alphabet series for quite a bit. I added all the ones that were published to my Reminder List and ordered them from there. The ones that werent posted, I added to my Wishlist. I have read all but R, S and T. I had to fill in as I saw them available and did find quite a few of them using BOB. The nice thing about BOB is being able to order a lot of books from the same member. And searching by author in BOB is quite easy.

You may also want to post in the Book Bazaar Discussion Forum that you are looking for  deal on a whole series, or  multiple books in a series or at least the first few books to at least get started on the series.

I've also had decent luck getting multiple books in a series from a single user, sometimes in book bazzar deals, with box of books or simply by ordering a book from the series and finding others on the same shelf.  I had someone order a whole trilogy from me this way.  Sadly, it seems that the first book in many series is often the most likely to be wishlisted, because people don't really want to start the others until they've read the first.  I don't necessarily mind reading out of order or just collecting a series while I wait for book 1.

Also if a series is in a specific genre (like paranormal) you can visit the genre forum and have a look at the deals and wishlist threads since many people are looking to save postage by mailing multiple books to the same person if they have more than 1 in a series.

I just wanted to add that Box O Books can work that way if the person with most of a series IS a boxer.  I like to use BoB to get series so as to save credits and often you can find a lot of them on one shelf . Of course, the other person does have to want stuff on your shelf, too, but i find it works out more often than not.  :-)

Sometimes half the fun is collecting those hard to find series books.  Don't you just feel great when you find that last one you needed?
