Do all of Susan Johnson's books have unfaithful/cheating heroes? Because I read Sexy as Hell and Gorgeous as Sin and both of "heroes" (I use this term lightly since I never really thought either one had any hero qualities) cheats on their heroine. I just want to know so I never pick another book by her accidentally and want to throw it at the wall when I counter these cheating scenes/heroes like I did with these two books!angry

I personally don't care for her at all. I don't remember if hte couple I read had cheating heroes or not.  The comtemporaries didn't.  But I could never develope a fondness for her main characters and route for them to find a HEA.

Thanks for letting me know. I just don?t understand how a "hero" in a book can be unfaith and that book is consider romance.

I've only read one of her books, and while the hero didn't cheat that I can recall, he was an arrogant ass most of the time.  Turned me off enough not to want to read anything else by her again.  I am with you, I can't stand a hero who cheats.

well, in something like SILVER FLAME, the H/H have broke up so I dont consider it cheating if he rogers other women after that. YMMV.

SJ writes real rakes, not fake rakes. I respect that. She writes sophisticated adventures with sexually confident and voracious H/Hs, not sanitized Disney-like paplum.

I stopped reading her years ago, too. I thought her contemporaries were dreadful, filled with very unlikeable people. I would never have considered them contemporary 'romance', more like just straight fiction. I really have to bond somehow with the characters. I don't mind rakes even the rakiest of them, but sometimes they just aren't likeable and I can't bring myself to forgive some jerks.

Thats true but when I read, I want to escape reality so I don't care for real rakes..LOL

I actually like her historicals, but her contemporaries, not really. I don't recall any cheating in any of the historicals but it's been forever since I've read them.
