I just joined this service and I was wondering if we receive the books back? My understanding is, and please correct me if I am wrong,  that we post our books on our account and people "borrow" them?

Actually, no, you do not get the books back.  When you send them out you are giving them to someone else.  When you receive a book it is yours to keep forever, unless you decide to repost it.

No, you send off your books, and they find new homes.  The recipient may keep them, gift them, sell them, or re-swap them, but they don't come back to you.  In return for sending off your books, you get credits, which you can use to get new-to-you books, which are likewise yours to keep, re-swap, etc.

Hi Sana - There is a brief tutorial here on how the site works.  It's a quick thing that will give you an overview of the basics:

I understand what you are trying to say..."Pattie, as a rule members are not allowed to resale books they receive here." but, your statement is a bit misleading.  The correct statement would be that members are not allowed to specifically obtain books for the purpose of selling them because as is stated..."When you receive a book you requested, it does belong to you, and you can do whatever you would like with it after you have read it. So don't post a book you aren't ready to send to a new home...............
