I had a book on my WL that was posted on 2/19 and mailed on 2/22 and I never got it so it went lost a couple of days ago. The book is now back on my WL, but I'm curious as to why it is listing the "last posted" date as 1/19 instead of 2/19 when whoever sent my copy posted it? Even if it went lost, it was still posted on that date...so why does the system not recognize that? Just curious...it doesn't really matter. Sometimes it seems like some of these features have a mind of their own and are more trouble trying to figure out how they work than they are worth. LOL

I'm guessing that the system only recognizes completed transactions. If you never marked it received, it's still an incomplete transaction.

The "Date Last Posted" isn't terribly accurate.  I have one book that I requested on 3/04/2011 according to my transaction archive.  I did get that copy and marked it as received.  I wanted a second copy of that particular book, so I added it to my wish list.  According to my wish list, the "last posted" date for that book is 1/27/2011, even though I sucessfully ordered and received a copy after that date.

Laura, TPTB may be interested in this. You might send notice of this to them through feedback with the details, in case this is a bug they're not aware of and would like to fix.

It might depend on how the book is posted into the system.  Maybe it doesn't count ones that were put on bookshelves on hold and then unheld and only counts ones were someone manually posted the book.  Or  vice versa.

I would test a book I just marked received but my WL if full.

I agree -- they may know about it, but if they don't they would want to.  My understanding was that if a book was posted, it showed up on the "last posted" stats, whether or not the transaction was completed.

I would agree that's odd.  I had a wishlisted book posted to me FIFO, which the sender canceled after accepting but before mailing (DH apparently wasn't finished with it yet).  For almost a year afterwards that date was showing as the 'last date posted.'   So the book doesn't have to actually be mailed for the system to pick it up as 'posted' in the sytem.

I've also had incoming books go 'lost' in the system, and they still show up as 'last date posted' even tho the transaction was never completed.

I recieved a WL book this week.  I added it back to my wish list and it says last posted 7-12-2011.

I had heard that you had to put a book you recieve on your TBR list so the system can pull the information from there.  Well, it is on my list, but still says 7-12-2011.  I guess I can clean out my TBR list.  :)

I really wish it worked correctly.  It would be really useful for those of us with a full WL.
