Someone is requesting a book from me with special requirements and I need to send them a message.  I don't see the option to send a PM. Am I missing the option to send a PM?

You can't send a PM until you accept the request.  If your book doesn't meet the requestor's requirements then I would decline the request.  You can accept and then send a PM...but if this is a WL you will need to cancel because the requestor will lose their position inline but you will lose your position in FIFO  I believe it is removed from your bookshelf and you have to add it again.

When you decline the request you can put your nickname in the reason and why you declined  but to PM you if they want to pursue the swap.

Nope. You can't send a PM until you accept the request.  I personally don't PM about RCS.  If they aren't clear enough for me to decide right then, then I decline them. I just don't want to have to negotiate about the condition of a used book.  Especially if it's WL and I can send it to someone who has no special requirements.

If you accept: make sure to choose the last mail by date. Not everyone comes to PBS everyday and you might have to wait a few days for a response.  If they don't respond then you will have to decide that the book meets their RCS and mail it anway-or to cancel the request and lose your place in teh FIFO line.  If it's a WL book and you cancel it will offer it to them again.
