I've been trying to submit a better image for a book cover than is in the system, but after 2 or 3 tries still nothing has happened.  My other images are being uploaded just fine, so I don't think it's because no one has been able to get to it.  I'm guessing someone see that an image is already in the system and just figures I don't know what I'm doing submitting another picture.   ;^)

The last time I had this happen, I posted for help here and within a day my better image for a book was accepted, so I thought I'd try again.

Anyone care to help me?

Hi Becki - how long are you waiting for the image to show up? Some images are stored on servers other than PBS's and they can take 2 weeks to change after the approval has been done. So while books with no image can be there a day after you submit if its approved right away, yet replacement images take 2 weeks.

Also, when you check on replacement images, go into the data edit screen and look at all the sizes. There is a weird glitch in the system where the improved image will be in there for some sizes, but it won't show on all of them.

If am image approver denies you submission for any reason, you should be getting a PM so if you hear nothing either it hasn't made it to an approver yet, its been approved and it still working its way through the system, or the system just ate it (which does happen).

There has been a weird glitch that when we approve an image the older image reappears.  Melanie is correct, if an image is not approved you should receive a PM from the approver.  It may be that the image was approved, but the old image keeps coming back.  It is random issue. 

In the past I have removed the image from the system, waited a week or two and resubmit successfully.

If you PM me the book title and when you will submit it, if the queue isn't too large I will be able to find the image and approve it then if it meets critera.  If I do approve and the old image appears, then you need to remove the old image and wait a week or two before sumitting.

I will also keep my eyes open when approving images for your image.  If you let us know the ISBN and title of the book, that would be helpful for us to make certain the image gets posted to the system.

If you let me know I'll keep my open for it as well. 

I had one that took me almost a month to finally get fixed.  The old image just kept bouncing back.  I waited before submitting it but the bad one just wouldn't go away.  Like Melanie and Robin said sometime those old images get stuck in the system.

Becki - I had some I tried to post once, and some went through and others didn't even though I posted them several times.  Finally I had to post each one individually and they finally went through. Pat
