Hi - I also posted this in the Christian Book forum, but thought I might reach more members here - I apologize in advance if this isn't the place to post this question.

I just came into possession of about 100 Love Inspired books - about 1/3 of them from 2004 to 2007.  I know most readers of these expect to spend less than a credit per book - which I don't have a problem with.  In the past I've usually grouped 5 or 6 books of one type (Larger Print, Christmas, Suspense, etc.) together and given a deal for the total group - but I've never had this many titles to trade all at the same time.

My question is this - How would readers of LI books prefer that I list what I have in a Book Bazaar deal?

Do readers look to fill in blanks in a favorite author's titles (so list by author) or would they rather know that the book is an older copy (list by publish date)?
Or is there another way that I haven't thought of that would be preferred?

After I log off today, I probably won't have a chance to get back to PBS until Monday morning - which is when I'd like to post my deal, so please don't be offended I don't respond back to suggestions until then.

Thanks for reading - any and all input is greatly appreciated!!

Ann Marie

I have seen books listed in the bazaar and by author but I do not like bundles as I have so many anyway I would be getting duplicates. I prefer you post them and list a deal say4/1 or 5/1 on all LI books.

That way one can sort by religion, christian, Love Inspired etc and see what you have. We can also see what else you have in case we need to fill up a group for a credit. I would live a list to see

if you have ones I do not have. I have a rural library out of my home so they will go to as many people as want to read them.

I agree, if they were bundled, I would be less inclined to order - leave them as a buy 1 get 3 free, etc

Thanks for the input! :)

In the past, I only had a few titles at a time, so it was easier for me to post them as sets and mail them all to 1 member.

But this time, with so many titles for members to look through, I realize it would be better to give a credit amount per # of books requested and let each person pick what they need.

My main concern was which way to list them to make it easier for members to find what they would like.
Should only list them by author?
Should I note when they are part of a grouping?
Or am I over thinking this - should I just copy the list in any order and let everyone muddle through the list themselves to find what they want?

If you hadn't noticed, I tend to get bogged down in details. :)

Anyway - Thank you to anyone that gives me their for suggestion!  Ann Marie

I am assuming that you are going to list them here rather than add them to your shelf. If so It would probably be easier for you and potential "customers" if you were to list them by author. That saves you quite a bit of typing too since you only have to type the author's name once.

Agree with James.  If you post by Author, then Title that's helpful.  I'm always looking for Betty Neels (author), for example, but since I have so many, it would be great to just scan the list and see if you have enough of what I need for me to "buy" a deal.  Also, I, too, dislike bundles b/c I want to choose the stories myself. :)
