Hi, I have 2 question hope you can help 1. can this series be read out of order? 2. do these books end or leave you hanging (I hate that)? |

Each book has an ending. I prefer to read things in order, but I did read this one out of order due to availability and it was fine. Each books explains how/why they are vamps, etc. so you shouldn't have trouble understanding them. There are characters that are in many of the books but like I said, I didn't have a huge problem reading them out of order. |

I felt like some were left hanging..the main couple was together but there was somethng else going on. I noticed this with Vampires Are Forever which had a storyline that continued into Vampire Interrupted. And the last book The Immortal Hunter I felt was left hanging. I read some out of order and all I missed was the story of another couple if they were mentioned and a lot are mentioned in other books just depending. I liked the earlier ones much better - I think the last really good one (IMO) was The Accidental Vampire(victor's story) an old grumpy vampire on the council meets a lifemate in a crazy mixed up town.but you kinda get a feeling for him in the previous book where his son hasn't spoken to him in forever, etc but his story was funny. |

I am collecting that series because I like to read books in order. |

I read the series out of order and never have read the first two novels which get blah ratings. I've kind of lost interest now that she's moved to the Rogue Hunters phase of her stories. They aren't funny. Rougue Hunter was the first major change to a darker story line that is not running thru her novels on a continuing basis. I'm afraid both Rogue Hunter and Immortal Hunter got so-so ratings from me. She just doesn't seem to quite be able to pull off the darker, serious stuff, or do the odd dark-yet-funny banalcing act that sme authors manage so well. From Rogue Hunter (Book 10) on it is important to read in sequence if you're to follow the story.
My two favorites of hers are Single White Vampire and The Accidental Vampire. |

I have read the first second and third one (the forth is en route ) and I have # 5,6,7,8,9 and 10.I haven't started the others because I wanted to read them in order because it sets the timeline..The ones I have read are very good IMO. |

The early ones I think you could read out of order. I read a couple of them out of order, and it was fine. I actually started with the 4th or 5th one, then went back. I agree that the last 3 or 4 books in the series kinda build off one another and make more sense if read in order. |

How can you think Rogue hunter wasn't funny,I mean that inncident at the lake was hilarious.LOL. Okay I read a few of her books before even knowing it was a series and okay until you get to book 10 it doesn't really matter BUT I am stopping and starting over, but in a way you should read them in order, because certain vamps get their life mates before others and if you read after they get their mates and then go back and read when they're mateless it just gets confusing and I so hope I didn't spoil anything,LOL,at least I didn't give names. But yes start all in order I think it will be better :) |
