This has GOT to be a joke...

If not... head to your local library for free books.

Are you serious? My suggestion would be to either go to the library like Monica suggested, or go to yard sales. They usually sell books for .50 or something there.

You DO know that you have to pay to ship out books to people, right?

Alright, alright...this is not the first time someone (even a new someone) has asked people to give them credits, so let's not jump all over this person.  Having said that, I would strongly suggest you read up on the club in the Help Center, because I am not quite sure you know what you are getting yourself into, expense wise.  As Dawn said, you have to pay to ship books to people, so you'll be out a couple bucks every time you do that, not to mention smaller costs like ink and paper to print the wrapper, tape to tape it up, and any other shipping materials you use.  If you decide you can bear those expenses, as the others have suggested, go try to find some cheap paperbacks to swap, post them, and then ship them  when they are ordered.  Once you get your credits for those books, you'll be able to order some yourself.  It just takes a little time and patience.

Kim,

There are credits for sale in the kiosk for $3.45 -- and often club members sell credits in the book bazaar forum for $3, sometimes less.

When I am feeling low on books, I sometimes also shop in the bazaar. Sometimes I can get 4 books or more for only 1 credit.

I thought you had to post at least 9 books before your account would even activate and so you can order and receive books...don't you? Or is that just to get the 2 free credits? I've been here so long and things have changed so many times I'm not even sure how that works anymore. (Time for Cheryl to go read the Help Docs I guess. LOL)

At any rate, if you don't have money to buy a credit, how are you going to have money to mail out books to people? This is a book trading site and if you don't have books to trade, you will need some money to purchase credits so you can order books. If you don't, it sounds like the library is about your best option.
