when a person requests a specific book or deal or whatever, is it appropriate to respond back to each offer even if your not taking it? I kind of wish people would but maybe I'm just starved for attention(HAHA). No seriously I check out what people are looking for then if I can help I PM with what I have to offer. Then I set aside those books waiting for their reply. But sometimes my waiting stack grows pretty large. So I am wondering what would be considered proper PBS etiquette on responding or not. Just want to add there are many wonderful people here that do respond. And I appreciate them. Merry Christmas to all Jannymarie Last Edited on: 12/3/09 7:32 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

SO you are PMing these people in response to a deal? Then I would expect a response either yes thanks or no thanks. But if its just responding on the forum, they might not be checking back. |

So I am wondering what would be considered proper PBS etiquette on responding or not. Yes, I think people should respond to PM's to offers, even if it's to say a quick 'No Thanks'. But not everyone is online all the time. Especially those who post from work computers, those who get ill, or are away for the holidays. So I don't think it's unexpected to have to wait a few days for an answer. Sometimes you're just going to catch people at a bad time. |

I answer requests that I see in the BB every once in a while, but I don't bother setting stuff aside. I figure if they take too long and someone else orders the thing they wanted, or some of the books in a deal they wanted ... Oh well. Last Edited on: 12/3/09 7:35 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
