I joined a while back and just last night posted the books I have to offer.  When searching for more books from the series I'm reading, I noticed that I have quite a few books on my bookshelf that are marked as unavailable for exchange.

Specifically, I have a good number of the Kathleen O'Neal Gear & W. Micheal Gear "People of the...." series.  Several of the titles marked as unavailable are books I'm offering.

I'm just a bit confused.  =)

They must be Wish List books. Just means if you post them that they'll go to the first person in line for that book.

You can't order your own books, so they are unavailable to you :)

If they aren't on WL hold then most likely your's are the only copies posted.  If you have a book on your shelf it won't give you the order this book option.

When I went to the author, and clicked her name to see the available list of books, that's where I was seeing the titles I have as unavailable.

And after further research, there's 2 people with the one book on their wish list, so now I understand why it isn't showing as swapable.

Thanks =)

I see the books listed and available on your shelf.  If you are clicking on the author and see some in red that are not available it's because they are wishlisted.  I clicked on one and it had 23 people wishing.  This was the hardcover version so that may be what you are seeing.
