I have 78 books on my account page and 77 listed on my bookshelf,  dose that mean I have listed a book 2 times and if so how do I find out whick one I goofed on.

Does one have a gray exclamation mark next to it on your account page, Cindy? If you move your mouse over it, it will tell you it's on someone's wishlist and is in 'requesting limbo' (as I call it).

Your bookshelf shows 78 books when I just checked it, though.

Cindy, if you've sorted by author and you have a book that does not have an author listed, that book will not show. Try sorting by title and seeing if it "comes back".

You either have a book w/no author listed or 2 books by the same author.  Like Jane says try resorting.

Thanks ladies the total is right when I resorted by title.  Not sure which book it is that is hiding but will look when I have more time. 

OK, I added a new book after I wrote the post, thats why was 78.
