A little background on the author, Joni Erickson Tada. She is a quadrapalegic from a diving accident as a young girl at the age of 17. She dove into the water (she was an avid swimmer and on the school swim team), without checking how deep the water was. She broke her neck, which has resulted in her being a quadrapalegic the rest of her life. This woman, to me, is a hero with the accomplishments she has done in her lifetime. The reason I am giving this background is so you can understand the reasoning behind the name of this book, and understand the reason behind the book. If "anyone" knows "A Quiet Place in a Crazy World Through Prayer and Praise", it is this author, Joni Erickson Tada. She has and still does at times, spends months in bed. She has experienced years of silence and reliance on other people. She has learned through all of this what to do in these quiet times. Take her suggestions she gives in this book, do what she does. She knows exactly 'how' to do it through so much experience. This woman, to me, again, is a hero. There are not many people in the wrold like this woman who can and has accomplished what she has. Take this book and take it all in. She is an expert in prayer and praise. Even she gets into the 'crazy world' at times, and 'wants' peace and quiet so she can pray and praise the Lord, our God. Enjoy this book. It is well worth the read.
