A wonderful compilation of quilts for kids of all ages, even teens. The age levels are grouped in separate chapters with headings like: Lullabye and Goodnight, The Wonder Years, Great Quilts For Teens, etc. Within the separate chapters you'll find patterns for pieced and appliqued quilts, as well as very explicit directions on how to make each quilt. There are also very good general directions, such as making templates (which every quiltmaker should learn how to do,) using templates, sewing mitered corners, making continuous bias binding, making straight grain binding, and applying binding. Some of the quilts are adorable, some are scrappy, some are drop dead gorgeous, and others are simple utility quilts, fast to make and easy to care for. This is a slender book packed with useful information and wonderful ideas.
