I sent the book that was requested, but because the requestor was not happy with the size of the book. she marked it as recieved with problem and I don't get credit.

ETA  removed snippy remark.....it is a small version of a kids book that was listed a  non ISBN book.

ETA

I have sent a pm to the help desk. I will update later.

If the size is correctly listed on the book's page here on PBS, I would appeal that decision.  Not your fault that the requestor didn't realize the size of the book.

The only things that must match on a posted book are Title, Author, ISBN# and Book Type. You do not have to refund the person's credit.

I don't understand what you mean about not getting credit. Is the person refusing to mark the book received? The HC states that the sender will still receive credit for a book marked "Received with problem".

ETA: Fixed a grammar problem that might have changed the meaning of my first sentence.

I was curious too about why you didn't get a credit?

It shows in my transaction detail that it was marked as sent wrong book. Does not appear that I got a credit.

I sent a note to help desk. I will let you know what is said.

This may apply to your situation...

"Pamphlets/Booklets/Leaflets without ISBNs: NO

  • These sometimes contain advertising; members also complain at having to pay a credit for these.
  • Leaflet/pamphlets/booklets with ISBNs may be posted: if so, the number of pages must be included in the item description.
(leaflets/pamphlets  have less than 20 pages; booklets have less than 50 pages.)"

Was it the full version of the children's book or something like one of those 6-page freebies Scholastic sometimes sends out when they can't send you your real book?  If it was the full version of the book, I think you're OK.  If it was a booklet with part of the book and no ISBN, it shouldn't have been posted.

Phooey on fine lines

Well, that's not fair.  If you sent the book that was requested, you should get your credit.  The other person marking it as the wrong book is just wrong.  They shouldn't be able to lie and say it's the wrong book when it's what  you posted.

No Kim it is a full children's book  just a smaller version.  nothing do with "Pamphlets/Booklets/Leaflets.

And according to the Help center I should get a credit but It is not showing in my numbers. I am still waiting to hear from the help desk. for cornfirmation/answers.

OK....They are saying I got the credit. I do not see it in my numbers.

And apparently a requestor has the right to mark any book incorrectly as received with a problem if she is polite in her PM...justified or not.  What ever. She has earned the first spot on my do not send list.

AND I am going to quit asking the help desk for anything because apparently they are so busy doing the job that they only have time to be slightly condescending in their replies.

I am done with this thread.  thanks for listening to me rant.
