I had sent a member a book last week and last night it was marked RWAP for not meeting their RCs, which apparently have something to do with perfume smells. She said my book smells really perfumey and it's listed as being "postable, but violating RCs." Now, I make handmade soaps and they cure all throughout my apartment, and I have had other members comment that my book "smelled nice" upon receiving them, so I decline RC that specifically mention perfume smell or allergy to scents--actually I decline ANY RC with the word "Smell" or "odor" in the wording because it's too subjective. Anyway, long story short, I went to the TA and I do not see any RCs listed, and it's been awhile since I had any orders with any type of RC (and I would never remember which books it was to look them up) but am I correct in that if there WERE an RC in place, it would show up in the details? I am certainly not planning to return a credit for a book that was almost new when I sent it in good faith, not knowing that she has allergy to perfumes. Cheryl |

Yes, you are correct. If she had an RC in place at the time that she requested your book, it would show up in the details. You need to pm her and point this out. By you doing that it will also be in the records that she didn't have her RC on, if she had one or not. She will need to repair her error on her side. I had this happen to me once. I wrote a note to PBS about the sender's RC not being there. They wrote back and said that she "obviously" clicked the wrong button. Personally, I don't know about that, but anyway she did clear everything up. Last Edited on: 8/19/09 7:43 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Thanks, Connie, I'm glad I'm not going crazy. LOL I did pm her and respectfully asked her to mark it resolved since there was no RC in place for me to violate. Hopefully she will, but if not, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Cheryl |

She really should mark it as reported in error. |
