Great book! Grace is living in a beautiful, old house alone and doesn't have the money for upkeep. Ellie is an artist who needs a place to live. Demi has run away from home. These three meet up with Flynn, Ran, and Rick and the story never lags. 5 stars!
Fun book that I couldn't put down.
This is fun and cozy, curl up with a cup of tea type book.
This has more romance than the average Fforde book. Usually the romance is a side note and the story is more about the main character overcoming some major obstacle in life.
Here Grace is trying to redefine herself as a doormat after being somewhat abandoned by her parents, overwhelmed by bossy siblings, and left by an overbearing husband. There were times where I got fed up with how whiny Grace was about her ex or how she lets her sister run her over, but that's a huge part of the story so I had to bear with it.
The addition of Ellie and Grace's ex's daughter were great. They all have very similar issues as Grace and walked well to grow together in the story.
Excellent, read. Had a hard time putting it down.

I love and adore everything she writes. She writes books that make you want to read more and live the life she writes about. Cant wait to read more.
