I ordered a 7 for 2 deal through the book bazaar... usually don't, but there were a few on the shelf off my reminder list, so...

Anyway, received only 4 of the 7 (only one of the ones I ordered for a credit), and they were ALL water damaged!  ;(  I was bummed!  (The one I received that was ordered for one of the credits was previously left floating in a lake, I think...)  I didn't receive the other one ordered for a credit, (or the other books from the deal) so I hadn't marked it as received yet.

Sent a polite RWAP message to the sender, who replied back by PM, and buddied me back 2 credits right away (Yea!)

My question, though, is what to do about the unmarked book under "books sent to me".  Technically, I didn't receive it, but if I let it go, then will my credit will revert back to me?  Should I mark it as an RWAP, make a note that it wasn't received, then mark it as "resolved by sender"?    How should I resolve this?

IMO, you should not mark an unreceived book RWAP. Leave it go lost. Once the system action takes place you can buddy back the extra credit you got, but I would let the system record things properly.

Well, I would buddy the extra credit back now, and let the other book go lost, and you will get your second credit back then. That way, its all resolved and you don't have to remember to check back about this issue again, and buddy the credit back at some time in the future.

Unless you are very low on credits and think you might need to use that 2nd credit before you get it back from the book going lost. In that case, use it now and give it back to the sender when the book goes lost.

Me too, if you don't receive a book, you don't mark it received.  You'll get the credit when the book goes "lost".  So you keep the credit she gave you for the damaged book you marked received, and return the other one. :-)
