I received a book in the mail that has an issue with the cover. There is about a one inch area on the corners of the front and back covers that is completely missing, as if cut off by scissors, and a couple other cut outs from the front. You can read the title, and the cover is present, but I am not sure if this was postable or not. I certainly don't want to keep it in this condition, but if I can just read and repost, I don't mind. Was / Is this book postable, or should I mark RWAP?

From the help docs I got: Cover not torn or chewed/gnawed

  • some used book stores cut out a small part of the cover; if the amount missing is less than 1 square inch, this is OKAY
  • a small rip (less than 1 inch) in the cover is OKAY
  • yes, that does say "chewed/gnawed" above.  That means no pet-chewed (or human-chewed) books.\

Would these describe this book with pieces missing or is that something different? Thanks all.

I think it's technically an RWAP because it says the amount missing has to less than 1 square inch. It sounds like you have quite a bit more missing than that.

since only you can see the book in question, you will have to determine if the amount missing is within the guidelines. Since we can't see the book we can't honestly recommend what to do.
