I just marked a book rwap, from a member who has been here 6 years. My question is how can you be a member here 6 years and send a book like I recieved it was posted with an ISBN and I don't see an ISBN anywhere on the book, the cover is totaly seperated from the book  and the book is separated into 3 leafs held together by tape. I checked to see if it was a newbie and if it had been I would have just sent a note for them to visit the forms to learn more so I was shocked to see the member here for 6 years.

Sadly I've gotten more problem books from the old time "back in the day we just swapped for fun to get reading material and weren't so picky.." members than I've gotten from newmems.

The worst, nastiest books I've ever gotten were from long time members. Like from when PBS first started.  They were also the ones where I didn't receive a credit refund and got rude responses.

In my experience the brand new members are the ones that apologize profusely and refund the credit.

Yup, another vote for "if you get a really bad book, most likely its from an old member".

I received an unpostable just last week...from a long time member.  She blamed it on DH sneaking books onto her account...my credit was quickly refunded tho, so I accepted the credit and the excuse gracefully.

Older doesn't mean wiser...
