I marked a book RWP the other day because it was written in. It was still readable, but clearly wasn't postable. Then a few days later, I got a wish list offer for the same book! Apparently marking it RWP had put it onto my wishlist. And I'm sure it wasn't just another ISBN that I had wishlisted - I don't have enough room on my wishlist to add multiple ISBNs, and the book wasn't a WL book when I ordered it (I ordered the last copy in the system). I think it's a useful feature, in case you get an unreadable copy, but I felt bad about having to turn the offer down, especially since I was the only wisher. So just a heads-up - if you mark a book RWP but still plan to read it, check your wishlist to make sure the book isn't on there. |

That shouldn't happen. Not even when I reported a Wish List as RWP did it go back to my WL. Have you contacted PBS to ask them what happened? |

You are right this IS what happens. The system assumes if there is a problem you can't read it therefore it goes back onto your wish list. The system was working exactly the way it should. |

My understanding is that there are two situations where a book will be placed on your wish list by the system:
In my experience, when a book has arrived & I've marked it received with a problem, it is often readable. The system hasn't placed it on my wishlist. If it is not readable, I can contact the PBS team and ask them to return me to my original place on the wish list. Zoe, if it were I, I'd check the ISBN to see if it's the same as the "received with problem transaction. If not, then it's possible that you accidently added another edition to your wish list at some point. If it's the same ISBN, you could ask the PBS Team to look into it. |

The system will also place books on your WL anytime a book is ordered and the request times out or is cancelled by the sender and there are no other copies available. This has happened to me several times...but I did not think a RWP book did this. Unless it's a new feature. Last Edited on: 11/29/08 4:07 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I checked, and it's definitely the same ISBN. It might be a new feature. |

Yeah, I just a couple of weeks ago got a RWAP, and it automatically went back on my WL. I wonder if the fact that the sender refunded my credits triggered it, or just the RWAP. |

I wonder if the fact that the sender refunded my credits triggered it, or just the RWAP. Probably just the RWAP; I didn't ask for a credit return for the damaged book I got, and it got added to my WL anyway. |
