When you read the blurb description of this book, it sounds like some fluff romance novel. I got it because I am in an interfaith marriage and was curious about this couple. Well, the description was like one feather escaped from a lusciously thick down pillow. This book was great. There is a rich serving of Yiddish. There are many layered family histories of rich Jewish tradition. The love story between this man and his wife, and their families, is deep and compelling. I am so glad that I happened upon this wonderful story.
