Okay I usually finish books in 1 to 2 days, but i've been reading Dead Witch Walking on and off for 1 and half months.  I'll pick it up read about 10pages then put it down and pick something else up.  I've heard such good things about this book that I went and got all the books in the series minus the last one that just came out before reading the first one .  I'm determined to finish the series since I have almost all of them.  My question is does it get better, i'm on page 200 and right now the ending seems so far away.  I'm really hoping it picks up.  Please tell me i'm not wasting my time.

I have yet to  read this series but I've seen many posts in the paranormal forum by people who also said the first book was hard to get through but the series definitely picks up and is worth plowing through the first book.

I wasn't crazy about the 1st book either and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about....but each book gets better and better......even the 1st book gets much better about 3/4 of the way thru...enough that it inspired me to give it another shot!  Glad I did, it is now one of my favorite series!

This book has the disctinction of being one of only two books ever that I have not finished. I'm glad to see it wasn't just me. Because I didn't finish it, I removed the others in the series from my WL.

Oddly enough, I liked the first book, but didn't finish the 4th.  I didn't realize I hadn't finished it and bought the last one, but wasn't able to get into it either.    And I so used to look forward to those.  I can't post them yet, since I'm determined to read them first.  Especially since the last one I bought in hardback.  I'm hoping it's just my mood.

It does get better--and the last book is amazing, so hurry up and read all the other ones so you can read the last one(the second to last was excellent as well).  It took me forever to read the first one, too--but give it time--I think her writing's gotten better with time.

This is probably my favorite series.  They do get better, I stayed up till past 1 AM last night because I was in the middle of the climax of the last book and I wanted to finish it.  There is so much explained yet so much yet to figure out.  She really has gotten very good!  Stick with it! :)
