A wonderful treat for the young, the young-at-heart and those of us who dream about dragons! A half-breed dragon-boy who has no idea of his familial history gets an abrupt education as he enters puberty, moves to a new neighborhood, and enters school where another girl, also of half-breed dragon blood attends. Billy gets to discover the value of friendship, family, and his own person can grow and change as he interacts with Bonnie, the dragon-girl who has wings hidden in her backpack, the school principal, who is really a dragon-slayer in disguise, and his father, the dragon in hiding. What strengths and gifts does he have that he can call upon to save himself, his family and his new friend, Bonnie?

A great beginning to a great series

I have always loved fantasy fiction books, but unfortunately there are not enough books out there that are fantasy that Christian teenagers can read. When I first discovered this series I was thrilled. Finally, a book series that I could read and absolutely loved! The story captivated me and the characters soon became my friends. Adventure, dragons, knights, ladies who arenít helpless, in my opinion the perfect story.

This is a fantastic book that is the start of an amazing series. The characters are very real, and the plot is absolutely genius! I love all the action, romance, comedy, and even tragedy. I usually don't like to read books a second time, but this series just gets better each time you read it! I first got this book when I was 12, and I've read it at least five times since then. I highly recommend this book!
