byteboi and Frieda are a pair of 'dorphed-up street-bangers in Night City, garden of hellish delights-just a Ravenger and his braindanced Rockergirl, 'til a covert Digital Librarian hires 'em to do a crime: salvage civilization. All they gotta do is jetbike across 3000 miles of mortal combat, through Plaguers, Luddites, Truckers, and Tribes, to Manhattan, the kingdome of the damned. There the job is to loot the radioactive ruins of once-great museums for lost Classic Art, and get the antiquities back to the coast.
A passable sci-fi book, but nothing compared to works like the Cyberspace Trilogy by William Gibson.
