This was the first book I've read by Patti O'Shea. Romance novels set on other worlds are not very common, but she did a good job of it. I was never distracted by the setting; it contributed to the story, which moved fast and stayed exciting. Some "really sexy scenes," as Patricia noted in her review. I'll be watching for more from this author.

The cover doesn't match the description of the characters at all, but aside from that, I really enjoyed this book!
I like survival stories and this one has the added element of romance, alien planet, well thought-out characters, danger, and a solid 2nd tier story.
The end of the story and the explantion about the killer's motivations were a little strange to me (I won't spoiler it here), but it wasn't enough to keep me from enjoying the whole book.

Ravyns Flight

From the back cover:

Ravyn Verdier was the communications specialist on a mission to test the habitability of Jarved Nine. Damon Brody was the Commander sent to rescue her when the rest of her team was mysteriously killed. Trapped on a planet that harbored an unimaginable evil, they must depend on one another, trust each other explicity.

An abandoned city held the key to their survival, but what they found behind its ancient walls defied all their preconceived notions, threatened al they held clear, and tested the very limits of the bond that had formed between them. To succeed, they would have to cast aside their doubts and listen to their hearts. For only when they were linked body and soul when they realized love was their greatest weapon would they be able to defeat the monstrous force bent on destroying all life.
