My Mom's bookshelf had two quilting books that are unpostable. Actually, for me, they are untranslatable. Both are written in Japanese (back covers say printed in Japan), and have great illustrations....in metric, of course. Both soft covers have small stickers on the front saying "Imported by Clover Needlecraft, Inc."
One book is called A Book for Your Comfortable Life...contains mostly items for your home...quilted motifs for your towels, slippers, and aprons, some pillow tops and some table toppers, items for your beauty routine, some totes, a floor mat....the twelve sections are well illustrated....and with a little time, someone could probably figure out how to put together most of these pieces. Probably two to three dozen projects inside.
The other book is definitely called Volume 5...no idea what the series is called. The pictures are many, and illustrate the process...again in metric. Lots of applique blocks which are really appealing....a kid's animal face quilt on the front cover, a farm type quilt as well as several tote bags inside. About 100 pages, including diagrams, templates, flow-chart pictures to illustrate the next step. The process for the cupcake pincushion is very clever, and looks easy to do. Over two dozen projects inside.
If either of these books appeals to you, just order any book from my shelf, and I will send you which ever one you want. If you want them both, just order two books. Please PM me so I will know you are requesting one or both of these, and post here so others will know what is still available.
