I'm looking for a new series and I think that I'm going to try Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake series since I have 4 out of the7 books. What's your opinion of the series? Worth reading and WLing the rest of the books?? I have read the Sookie series and the MayJanice Davidson "Undead" series and like that type of paranormal.

She writes well and creates good characters, but the stories themselves can be predictable at time. I do like her writing style and she creates and interesting 'world'. I've read most of the in the last 5 months, but got tired of them and have 3 on the TBR pile. I am possibly one of the half dozen people that is bored by Sookie Stackhouse. They were OK when they started, but I got bored. I have a number of the Mary Janice Davidson books and they at least made me laugh. It's getting like the Stephanie Plum clones, even the original is past its prime and the rest never were there. Last Edited on: 5/31/09 1:43 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I've liked all of them so far and characters show up book to book - not all but some. They're kinda funny and mostly light. I have the latest in my tbr but taking a short break since I just about burned out reading Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series almost back to back. I loved the first one..the 2nd was ok..liked the couple in the 3rd and 4th(undead next door) love that guy! the one a few months ago I had no idea who the guy was but still enjoyed the story. The newest one is about a vamp I haven't cared much for in the previous book but I'm hoping it'll be good as well! |

Yvette: Yes, the series is what the other posts say... cute, light, good feeling, a somewhat predictable outcome.. but good reads non the less..Hysterical at times... I own them and have read them twice... Love the Argeneau series too... |

Well they sound like they may be quick reads. I have also collected some of the Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series as well so I guess I can switch out if I get bored. |

I have the first 4 books in this series. Maybe I should move them up on my TBR pile! I could use a light read. |

I have these books ready to post if anyone wants them. I would love to mail the four Kerrelyn Sparks books together. I really enjoyed them. I found the conflict between the "good" and "bad" vampire groups interesting and the addition of physic humans also interesting.
