I'm a vegetarian on the way to veganism. I'm wondering if any of you would recommend me your absolutely must read or own vegan cookbooks and books?

Thanks!

I really like Veganmonicon and also I've heard really good things about Vegan Cupcakes Take over the World (if you're into desserts at all!)

yes! Anything by Isa Chandra Maskowtiz (sp?)

You can also check out her website theppk.com

On top of that, I'd recommend Diet for a New America by John Robbins.

He prevents a very convincing, well thought out argument.  It's also a little more aged, so its not looking at veganism as just a diet fad.

"Complete Vegetarian" by Susie Ward is a big beautiful full color cookbook that I recommend.  If you expect to feel deprived by going meatless, you need a cookbook that makes vegetable dishes look irresistible!
