This book is quite comprehensive and includes:
Part 1: Great Ideas for your garden
Part 2: Planning and analyzing what your wants are and how the space is that you have available
Part 3: Choosing plants. This lists lots of kinds of plants for various uses and has extra information on vegetables, fruits, and even espaliered trees. Also a section here on how to get plants off to a good start. This is a very useful section to me, being a person that likes lots of information on possible plants.
Section 4: Construction. This is an extensive section with superb information (remember--this is a Reader's Digest book, and their HOW-TO books are the best available) on working with wood, working with concrete, brick, concrete block, stone, canvas, plastic, earth... then comes a section on projects you can do yourself: walkways, paths and steps; fences, walls, gates, and screens; protection from sun and rain; pleasures and practicalities; outdoor living ideas; children's play structures; outdoor/garden storage; and MORE.« less
