A couple of us in the reading group in the basement (September hot topics forum, check it out) were talking about starting a mystery specific reading group but it would kind of have to be more than just the two of us, you know? Basically what we have been doing is posting a voting list that anyone interested in can add a book to and/or vote on and reading the book with the most votes for the next month's discussion. Anyone interested? 

We already have the general reading group, a cozy group and a cookbook group. 

I am really not much for group reads or reading groups...we have one here at work too that meets monthly at a different person's house but I've never participated...I am not good at 'reading with others.' LOL I hate having to read a book at a prescribed time...10 times out of 10 I won't be in the mood for it when I need to read it. I'm also not one for picking apart books, trying to determine the author's motivation for writing it this way or that way or whatever...I read for enjoyment. I do hope you find a few takers. :)
