I really enjoyed this book. I recommend this book for people who are newcomers to the Craft. The book talks about personal development as a Witch, the elements, the cycles of the Moon, and the eight seasonal festivals or Sabbats. The book describes divination in its traditional forms, such as Tarot, Runes, Crystal ball, Palmistry, Dowsing, Tea-leaves, Astrology, and Psychic readings. Moon worship is thoroughly explained, and it talks about which God and Goddess are associated with which moon phase. The Eight Sabbats cover an extensive chapter, covering the basics of what each Sabbat is, how to celebrate it, what rituals to use, and which Gods and Goddesses are associated with each Sabbat. Ms. West explains all different types of rituals, from self-dedication to spellcraft and herb lore. She explains the different symbols used for each element. There is a brief section that explains which herbs to use for different ailments, such as onions reduce fever, infection, and swelling. She also gives a simple spell at the end of the chapter for herb empowering if you did not grow the herbs yourself. Lastly, she discusses whether or not you want to make yourself known as a Witch. She even includes a sample letter that you can follow if you choose to make yourself seen. She also placed a terms and definitions guide at the end of the book so you can look up a few words that may be new to you. She also has a list of further reading material available. I thought this book did a good job explaining the art of Witchcraft.
