My sister who just turned 40 in June has found a lump in her right breast.  She has had Inflamatory breast cancer for 4 years now (it is not curable but it is treatable) She has had so much treatment over the past 4 years.  I have to say what a strong person she is.  I am asking if you would please pray for her, no matter what religion you are.  She has been through so much and has fought so hard . I  cannot tell you how much it would mean to me to know my internet friends are praying for her.  If you go to www.caringbridge.com and where it says to visit a caring bridge site enter

susanjensen      - Her story is so remarkable  and she is such a wonderful person.    You can read about her journey thru this battle.

I hope it is okay I posted this here.  Thanks for even taking time to read my post.  Kaye

First thank you all for the prayers - my sister received a different answer than the one we had prayed for.  The lump is cancer and she goes back to her Doctor on Thursday to discuss what treatment is recomended.  I am sure they will remove her breast but after that I am not as certain.  Please keep her in your prayers and share this with anyone else.  Her battle with this horrible demon has been on going for 4 years, nearly 5 years and I know that all that keeps her strong is her faith and the prayers each person is saying for her.

Kaye, I wish your sister well.  Dealing with cancer is a horrible ordeal, for her and for those that love her.

Kaye, My mom did have her breast removed and then cancer developed in the are outside her body!  She had surgery, radiation and just had a checkup last week.  The doctor is very optimistic, says her last blood test was "clean as a whistle".

So if your sister needs the surgery and other treatments it'll be okay.

Praying for her and you.

Kaye, just wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you and your sister. I had breast cancer, double mastectomy, chemo, etc. There's a wonderful website that can give you and your sister the support you need-- breastcancer.org  It carried me through the toughest times! Love and hugs to you.

I wish your sister and you the best of luck.  I will pray for your sister and yourself.   I also know what it’s like to have a family member with cancer.  My mom got uterine cancer when she was 38 they didn't diagnose it until she was 40 so she went through some very tough times after ward with chemo and other treatments.  She got very depress and it was extremely hard on me.  Her mother died of the same cancer at 45. She got tested and found out that it was a genetic kind and also shows up in other spots like colon and several other places.  I never got tested because I’m not sure I would want to know if I had an 80 percent chance of getting this cancer I think it would just make me look over my back all the time and at only 24 it’s not quite time to worry.  Two weeks ago she started having other problems and they said she now has an active bleed in her colon.  So now they think she has cancer there also she goes back Tuesday to get some other testing done to find out.  Its just life wrecking.  You have to wait so long to find your answers and then when you get them you wanted any other answer then what you got.  It’s not easy on the person of the family.  There is so much stress involved it just mounts up.  So make sure you also take good care of yourself at the same time.

I hope the prayers help.  And you guys get a good helpful doctor who does the best for your sister.

All the best to your sister Kaye.  Fred Hutchinson in Seattle treated my aunt for inflamatory breast cancer.  It's an aggressive treatment as there is a high rate of re-occurance with her type, but she's been cancer free for 4 or 5 years.
