This "autobiography" by/of Frances Farmer is said to have been ghost written by her friend Jean Ratcliffe and was published 2 years after her death. I was motivated to read this after seeing the movie "Frances", where Ms Farmer is portrayed by Jessica Lange. I was moved by the movie, and somewhat disturbed by the book.

Terrible! Obviously fabricated by Frances' friend who was trying to make a buck off her in the end. I didn't even finish it. It has long been established that there are many errors and lies in this book. Sooo disappointing because I'd like to know what she was really like as a person...
