Okay, I must begin by bluntly confessing that to claim I have read this book is a bald-faced lie. I attempted to read, now that is the truth. I started reading and after much struggling, was forced to conclude this is one of those, for me, no-way-Jose books, 1044 pages of a story I simply could not get into, as it might as well have been written in a foreign language. Yes, it is rather embarrassing after reading through several other raving reviews, making me feel like there must be something wrong with me. Be that as it may, I have so many other books waiting to be read, to continue with this one seemed like a preposterous waste of time.
