It is a cute book about nectar and pollen, seeds, roots, and plants.
It explains that are flowers are angiosperms. It shows some things that we get from these plants like cotton, rope, chocolate, perfume, etc. It has great pictures in it. Some plants are carnivorous, it also explains that animals which don't eat meat are herbivores. just a great resource book.

This is a wonderful book about the different things flowers do. Perhaps I am biased...I love all of Ruth Hellers books! The pictures and the rhymes captivate the little ones, meanwhile the older ones are learning....you can't beat that!

The text of this lovely book is written in brief, catchy rhyme which explains the nature and usefulness of flowers. But the star of this book is the illustrations, which explode with vivid color and movement. Like all of Heller's nature picture books, this one is a joy for any age!
