I was doing ok until the weekend and today i'm just plain old sick temp 103 all night last night it's down to 101 today I'm cold and then I'm burning up it's got to be because of the fever I called my dentist yesterday but he is out of town until Oct 8 so I called my reg doctor he put me on Amoxicillin 500 MG 3 times a day and said if it is not better by the end of the week to call him back he said that he is sure that i got a bad infection because I have a very low Immune System due to my kidney disease .. I got a few things to post on the RAOK post and then I'm off to try and rest for awhile .. Please keep me in your prayers .. I hope everyone has a blessed pain free week ...

Hope you are feeling better today. Getting over something like this will take time. I had an experience when I had several teeth pulled years ago. The teeth were infected and the infection went throughout my body. My whole body hurt everywhere after they were pulled. I couldn't do anything but lie down for a few days.. I was so sick that I thought I was going to die. If that wasn't bad enough, the dentist's hand slipped while he was working on me and cut a big gash in my tongue which he had to give me seven stitches in my tongue and my jaw and tongue were really swollen and bruised too. My daughter was little then and we had her stay at my mother-in-laws for a few days because we were afraid she would be too upset if she saw me like that. Believe me I know what you are going through. Sending prayers and thoughts your way that you will be feeling better soon. |

You poor thing! My dh had all of his top teeth pulled in June. Since he is diabetic though, he did an entire round of antibiotics from the day he got them pulled just in case. One of the best "ice packs" we found was small bags of frozen peas. They easily mold to your face. Just don't forget and make them for dinner or anything...lol! I am praying for a speedy recovery with complete healing! I hope you are feeling much better! |

Robin, next time you are at your doc appt, you should ask about this - find out if you should be requesting a round of antibiotics everytime you have dental work. I know my docs tell me to do that because of my immunity problems. Hopefully you can save yourself from ever having to go through this again. I really hope you are starting to feel better, I will be thinking of you! |

I know they are, I had mine pulled 10 years ago, I went in for a toothache and he said that he just wanted to pull four on top, I told him that if you going to pull them then just yank them all. ahae ssaid that the rest of my teeth were still good, and I just thought why wait, I am glad I had it done, people don't reslize how much bad teeth affect ones health.
